Great footage and flight!

Definitely would want at least 10-bit video with the option to record in 24fps. This could still come in a firmware update for the Avata but not guaranteed. And easier access to the microSD card for people with sausage fingers like me (ie: anyone who wears a size 9 glove or larger).

A piece of nano tape would hold it on no problem. That stuff is crazy. But yes, expensive little thing to add to an already expensive little thing. Going to need to come up with an acronym for drone similar to boat (bring out another thousand)

Here is another pretty convincing video using these motors. He seems to think it makes a noticable difference, sure seems to have more response. Doesn't fix the aerodynamic issues, though.

I've never had an issue but in the beginning it did seem hard to do. Recommended to have the Avata on a flat surface and give the battery a little wiggle when pulling it out. Really have to only pinch the little tabs on the side, it's easy squeeze more than that.

I am on the fence. Like you, I probably would never need the extra oomph with how I intend to fly it but there is no such thing as overkill. Has anyone actually done a speed test? Like, pinned it in a straight line with both motors in the same conditions to see if has more power? Or accelerates...

You can also use an iPad with the DJI Fly app on it. Works exactly like the iPhone app, but way bigger screen.

You might be able to use a lighting to HDMI adapter to get the video signal out of your iPhone (assuming you have one), and then an HDMI to USB capture device to get the signal into the Macbook. Not sure if the other lighting port on the adapter would work with the goggles (might just be for...

I can definitely confirm the battery issue. I was flying last week and pinned the throttle to climb and one of the propellors exploded (when I checked it was just gone, screws still in place). Avata crashed immediately and threw the battery. This was on a grassy field. Put the battery back in...

Ah, gotcha. I guess it depends on the footage and whether cropping in changes it too much. All decisions to be made!

GyroFlow has a "Lock Horizon" option that I used in the video above, but dialed slightly back so that there was a slight bank for turns. But set at 100% it keeps the horizon perfectly level.
