Hand launch and catch your DJI FPV

Hadn't thought of that. how do you shut the motors down? (you using the MC or RC?)

Hand launch and catch your DJI FPV

Don't think I would try hand launch/land with the Avata, but I do it regularly with my M2Z and Spark....so for so good

    New to Avata quetsions

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me as regards using your Avata. I can try to answer some of your questions, though I'm not really current. Original MC is not obsolete and can still be used. New MC2 adds some features I personally would have liked, but forces Firmware updates that enable...

    No remote ID in Canada?

Still haven't seen a definitive answer to this yet myself.

Gyroflow comment for those new to the program

Agreed. Using Gyroflow you can incorporate Rock Steady and Horizon Steady as you wish, even in the same clip, giving you much more creative control in post.

    Avata propellers keep breaking

No issues here, but then I don't fly in manual mode.

    Avata vs Mini 3 pro

Sounds incredibly frustrating. As DJI introduces more devices cross compatible between various controllers, goggles and drones, one would think that it should occur to them that pilots would wish to mix and match their devices.

    RC Motion 2 Questions

I'm sure you're correct, and I myself would assume that as the MCs use USB C ports that the smarts are built in. I just like to err on the safe side personally. Besides, using the USB A ports on my power supply leaves the PD port free for the flight batteries and the QC port for the Goggle's...

    Activating Avata and goggles 2

I believe that if you were to get the Avata with the new Integra Goggles that problem, needing to connect the phone to the goggles to fly, would go away as the Integra has GPS built in. This was why you needed to connect a phone to the Goggles 2 for RID, as the Goggles 2 had no GPS. Thus you...

    RC Motion 2 Questions

That's the same warning as the original MC, which incidentally, has a USB C port. I don't know if the MC has the smarts to negotiate with a USB QC or PP port and even if it did you won't gain much over a plain jane USB port.

    Activating Avata and goggles 2

If you are in the USA, yes, Remote ID (RID) is a requirement for anything over 250 grams. I'm not in the US so I'm far from an expert on the subject. I'm not sure about the actual timing of the requirement, but I do know that the latest firmware update, for the Avata in particular, has activated...

    Activating Avata and goggles 2

Ya, I wasn't sure about activation with Assistant, and come to think about it I believe that's how I did it too. But that was sooo long ago and memory is not what it was...

    Activating Avata and goggles 2

You only need the phone attached to Activate the drone initially. If you live in the US you will also need the phone attached for Remote ID. The Integra removes that second requirement. RTH is determined by the GPS in the drone when you take off. I doubt you'll be doing much "Dynamic" home...

Avata suddenly drops out of sky

Please elaborate. Appreciate if you would share the details.

Avata w no remoteid FW boundd with the New Motion Controller 2 motors wont arm, now wont bind to old Motion Controller.

Far as I know you need the latest firmware on your goggles and the Avata to use the MC2. If you are in the US, you are then stuck with RID. As for going back to the older MC, and assuming you udpated the firmware on the goggles, you may have to roll back that update. Not sure if that's...
