I guess your phone can't change altitude unless you throw it :) The problem isn't taking pictures or movies for personal use, the problem is when you post it online.

You can do anything you set your mind to :) It might seem easier in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it's as easy and smooth with 500 - 600 deg/s. For me the factory 900 is a bit much, but getting used to 333 deg/s might "land" 😉 you in trouble if you put yourself in a tight spot...

That's a lot of opinions :) good enough though that your faa didn't turn out to be the big bad wolf after all, that I get the impressions from these dji forums. I just can’t fathom the facination for flying straight out 9km and back, some skill in patience.

Of course if you don't live or fly in Sweden you're in the clear, but the drone license exam is clear on spreading material containing the horizon. I can look through the exam material for clues to why when I get time if any.

Yes, thats correct 01.00.0606 is latest air mode fw. As I understand it there are 2 different firmwares, one for drone mode 1.02.0001 and one for air mode 01.00.0606. The goggles are dual boot, drone mode or air mode it depends.

I didn't get any update in air mode, only switching to fpv drone mode and then there was available update, and its done in Dji assistant 2, right !? (I'm on vaccation, hope I remember right)

After the update to ..001 and in air mode it shows both FW in goggle, drone FW on top and air mode FW in right place in menu.

Ok, so switched goggles back to drone mode re-binded everything and updated to 01.02.0001, goggles, drone, batteries...switched goggles back to air-mode, re-bind and played back flight video files in goggles for at least 30 min with zero reboots, so confidence is some what restored. Just waiting...
