If you care to join the AMA and Fern Prairie Modelers RC club in Camas, we're completing a new FRIA field in North Bonneville, WA in The Gorge and our next meeting is this Thursday 3/21 @ 7pm in the Washougal Community Center 1718 SE 7th St, While most of the members are fixed wing pilots...

Is this a good setup for an FPV Drone?

The FC (flight controller) is the PCB (printed circuit board) on the aircraft that controls the motors via the ESCs (electronic speed controllers)....one for each motor on the other board in the stack. The FC also distributes power the peripherals, monitors myriad sensors and provides...

Is this a good setup for an FPV Drone?

This component list looks quite suitable for a typical racing drone. I personally would opt for an F7 flight controller rather than an F4 as it would be faster and more upgradable for a longer time and If I wanted the best possible performance out of the that frame I might go with full 5" props...

    Bound but wont fly tinyhawk2

Connect it to BetaFlight & a battery and observe the error message on the right side of the setup screen under 'info' when you try to arm the quad. Might tell you what's wrong.

    Entry Level FPV Goggles

The mini 3 is a cinema camera platform not an FPV drone and cannot work with the analog goggles you listed, nor any other goggles I'm aware of. DJI makes only two FPV drones, The DJI FPV Quad and the Avata, both of which require one of the digital goggles made by DJI...Goggles V2, Goggles2 or...

    Broken ELRS antenna on AIO

Perhaps with some seriously advanced soldering skills and maybe a hot air gun. Probably a lot easier to just replace the PCB.

    New FPV pilot equipment question

Given that the drone appears to come with an ELRS receiver only, you will need to get an ELRS TX module for the back of the Jumper T-pro as well, unless the Jumper happens to have ELRS built into the radio.

    Dumb question but

Not necessarily. A PDB may well need to be grounded thusly.

    Drone GPS

It's my understanding that all FAA approved Remote ID modules do in fact transmit the drones global position in real time. This is the one I use. FT EZ ID There are several iOS and Android compatible apps that can receive the signal.

    Each one Qx90

Only if the Jumper has FrSky transmitter either built in or in an external module.

drone randomly freaks out while flying

What flight mode are you in? If acro, are the rates set up high? If in angle mode, Is the accelerometer calibrated? Is there any expo in either BF or you radio?

TinyHawk II FC wont turn on. Does connect and has power

I would try re-flashing the firmware. I've had that recover an FC. Just the 1st 3 beeps without the last 2 usually means the ESC is working but the FC isn't seeing it. Conformal coating I would think has to reduce the heat dissipation somewhat at least. The little AIO boards could be...

    2212 Motor Propeller Help

I'm afraid not. Part of DJI's commitment to being totally proprietary. I would use other 2212 or similar sized motors with standard shafts but the prop's size should be matched to the motor's Kv rating. I might go a little smaller, but not really any larger.

From Budget Build to Next Step?

That's a good plan. It's hard to go wrong with DJI equipment if that kind of autonomy is what you want. The only down side I know about is that the their FPV drone is said to be less crash resilient than an FPV drone might need to be for some. The DJI Avata is said to be a bit more durable and...
