Nice, I dropped it off at the hobby store today, they told me never to buy from hobbyking lol. The transmitter appeared to be burned out and in the next couple day so they are installing a spectrum or team black sheep when they get to me and that should hopefully fix the issue.

Yah I got it to bind yesterday, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I did not know that, then hopefully the LEDs not lighting up is a fixable issue.

Yah I may have jumped to a conclusion too quickly, that is why I'll let the professionals see what the issue is and hopefully they can either fix it, or give me a replacement transmitter. I just hope it is not an issue elsewhere and if they give me a new transmitter that one won't burn up too.

I powered my quad on every time with an antenna, as it was already on when I purchased it, I can check later to make sure power is reaching and if that checks out its probably faulty.

Yah I tried to bind them again before I sent the Evolution back and I got them to bind, turns out while the evolution was in bind mode I needed to turn it off then back on again for it to bind properly which was not in the instruction manual. It's no problem, I'm glad we both learned something...

Are you sure they are the same protocol?

I tried to bind it and it would not work. Unless I was pressing the wrong button. How am I supposed to bind it? I just pressed the button on the tiny receiver that came with the quad. Are you sure the Turnigy Evolution is FLYSKY?
