Opinions on the ZMR 250 quadcopter frame

Good looking frame ice! Great thing to learn with. Very much worth getting a clover lead antenna set like chris mentioned. A linear will loose reception when you bank and roll as the antennas will not line up as well. As you progress too a proper fpv board came it will help a lot as they have...

What is your experience with lipos? Have you ever had a problem?

Hi Paul. No it won't burst one but it will reduce the pressure build up inside which would potentially ruin the rest of your batteries. Also make it dangerous to open. The small hole would let a bit of heatshrink out I guess but just keep it away from flamable stuff anyway and it will be fine.

What is your experience with lipos? Have you ever had a problem?

As long as you don't massively over discharge them, don't charge on the wrong mode or fly with a dented battery you should be fine. If the battery shows any sign of swelling or dents/damage discontinue use and safely dispose of it. For added piece of mind might be worth making some sort of lipo...

    New Quad, Connecting to Baseflite

Oh wow. That's crazy. Where was the fire from? Probably a case of having your esc wires the wrong way round or a solder joint bridging where onto a wrong pad. Did you do the soldering yourself? If not you should easily get a refund from your vendor. Are you able to take some pics? If you're...

Opinions on the ZMR 250 quadcopter frame

Good good. Well with the uni body they are generally much stronger and there are less failure points. But if you're looking at the zmr250 v2 with the 4mm arms then you should be in a better place than me. I've got the v1 with 3mm arms. For fcs there's loads out there. Depends what you want to...

    New Quad, Connecting to Baseflite

Well 90% are compatible. I'm sure your cc3d will be compatible. To flash with cleanflight download the cleanflight software, plug your board in and go to firmware flasher on the cleanflight homepage and select the most recent release for your board (it will say cc3d in brackets) don't flash any...

Opinions on the ZMR 250 quadcopter frame

Hi IceFyre. Ive had a ZMR250 for nearly two years now. And for the price its a great little quad! Its light and cheap with a lot of after market accessories like the red plate separator in my display picture, which I use to keep my radio receiver and ubec in .Its nice that you have a lot of...

    New Quad, Connecting to Baseflite

Hey, Jack. Firstly you wont need to have a battery in to talk to base flight so try without for the first time. I really don't think that would make a difference though... It is unusual that you cant connect on COM 5. If there is a COM port listed that would normally work. It would probably be...

Anyone have PID settings for Robocat270?

You can't really use someone else's pids unfortunately... they are based around your airframe escs motors payload battery capacity battery voltage etc... your best bet is to experiment. Watch youtube guides and learn how to do it yourself. Then you really will get the best out of your quad. You...

    Best antenna reception?

They are both the same essentially. You will want a cloverleaf on the quad and a same direction (lchp or rchp) on your goggles. You can use a patch (better reception but directional or another cloverleaf less distance but better all round reception.
