So I ended up removing the double sided tape on my mod and using super glue to attach the fpv goggles face plate to the goggles 2 "carrier" and I have a perfect solution, if you see by the photos I posted the nose is a bit screwy but by putting it on the carrier and keeping it's nose piece it...

like rtkman said, make sure usbc is realy pushed in, now I remembered I had a oroblem with the conenctor seeming to be in, but you have to push in further,I guess that's why the goggles 2 have the clip

Are you doing the double press or just single. If single it will just give you the charge reading not power up. If double, make sure it's quick press then press and hold till you see it turn on

I'm using double sided tape. However I ordered one of the Ali Express ones that go over the goggles 2 padding, they look good and the price is also good. If they don't work I will probably look for a a more permanent way to glue the fpv goggles padding I'm using.
