most likely you ripped the flex cable for the camera, yes i had the jumping tree problem too once... take the cover off and rim apart an double check that everything in ok

you don't "need" it, but its always better to have one in the goggles recording the flight too, so in case you loose the aircraft, you can replay the video and try to find it, or at least that's why I record on the goggles too

it doesn't flash the goggles, so the goggles force you to update the aircraft to 01.02.0015 to let you fly.
