Hi guys,

my friend who i fly with had an ESC go up in smoke on his eachine wizard, so we replaced the esc with the same esc as the others. However, now when it is flown it is under powered and cuts out at full throttle.

Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this issue? Could the pdb be damaged from the smoked esc, or would it be completely fried if it was damaged?

Cheers, Kian

Having cooked many esc’s and motors on one of my wizards, you may want to check in BF to make sure the motor spools up (with the props off) and is the same as the other three. You may have a dodgy motor or the esc may need to be calibrated in BLHeli, in any case if you have a multimeter you can also check that the output tabs on your PDB are the same voltages.

Wayno is correct, if ESCs are not calibrated, they will only provide the level of current of the weakest ESC
