Improving range of Protek 35 with CADDX Vista Air Unit

I'm using the DJI Googles and DJI radio with my Protek 35, problem is the range is limited to about 300 yds. I added a iFlight patch antenna to my googles. I'm wondering if I can add another receiver with longer range. Is this connector for a receiver? If so what receiver should I look at? I also bought an iFlight controller iF8-E.

Today when I tried to fly my video broke up almost immediately on take off, like there is some hardware interference. I see a "low power mode unable to record video" which I assume is normal, power saving. I'm out of ideas. I can't fly 30 ft away without a problem. Bad hardware? What else could it be.

No, it has to be something with the video transmitter connections, but I couldn't see anything wrong. I returned it. Thank God for Amazon's return policy.
