I totally get that. With my transmitter I got lucky and got a really good deal on a Taranis x9d plus through a Facebook group I'm a member of. Not top of the line per se, but I think a decent investment on a solid piece of gear. My first transmitter was actually a first gen Jumper t8sg that I picked up on ebay for like $40. A lot of people consider those junk, but it was good enough to convince me that I wanted to get involved in the hobby. I've actually had a couple offers to buy it, but I'm gonna keep it because having a radio that will talk to almost anything around is awfully handy.
