When I arm this quad on my transmitter and throttle up, the motors spin out of control. Everything works fine when I test the motors with Betaflight. Everything also seems to be working fine in the receiver tab of betaflight. I have also tried to calibrate the motors by setting the master to 2000 and then plugging in the battery, but there is not a tone to indicate that it is calibrating. I am using the eachine i6 transmitter.

You were careful to note that the motors were turning the right way, and were in the correct order? Make sure the FC is oriented properly, and check your ESC protocol. You only need to calibrate them if you're running multishot, you should be running dshot600 I think.

Motors are turning the correct way. I changed the esc protocol from ONESHOT125 to DSHOT600 and have the same issue.Still no tone when trying to calibrate.

You only need to calibrate analog protocols, so if you're on dshot600 calibration won't do anything because it's digital. Have you checked your ESCs yet in blheli?

Can you upload a video? (youtube then post it here) Sometimes that's telling
Like @HighTechPauper pointed out, if the props are off and you arm with air mode on the motors will wind all the way up and that's normal. If the craft has props on and is "going to the moon" that's not uncommon for first time setups, we'll work it out

It turns out that changing to dshot600 has actually corrected the issue. Thank you!!! I probably watched at least 4 hours of YouTube videos trying to find the same issue. I will be sure to come here first if I have any other issues!

Hi,
I have a Mobula7 too and I did change to dshot600 but it stills does crazy things like (motors starts spinning as soon as I arm it).

Could you share your configuration?

Is this the normal behavior?

Before dshot600

After setting dshot600

@thedroneracingpilot, Did you solve the problem? I a facing the same situation shown in your videos with the Mobula 7 HD, specifically in acro or air mode.
