Hello, I have some trouble with my drone. About a year ago, I was really into fpv drones. I bought the eachine wizard x220s and the flysky fs-i6s. When I got them I tried to bind them together, but I couldn’t get it to work. I tried all kinds of things but it just wasn’t working. After weeks of trying I basically ragequitted the hobby and put all the drone stuff in boxes away. Because of the quarantine I would like to pick the hobby up and try to get my drone flying. So this is where my problem comes in, I don’t know where to start and what I should do to fix it.

So I managed to bind my controller to the fs-ia6b receiver, but when I use the throttle, nothing happens. Also, if I plug my drone into my pc and open cleanflight/betaflight it says: “No configuration received within 10 seconds, communication failed”. I’ll send some photos of my drone and other stuff.

Thanks in advance.

Marijn

We have to solve the Betaflight problem first. Do you have the newest version?

This might be a case for the Impulse RC driver fixer too...

Once we get it open in betaflight we can finish setting it up, make sure it's bound, and set up an arm switch

First of all, I wanna say that I'm really thankful that you're helping me!

So I updated my betaflight, but nothing changed. I also downloaded the program ImpulseOSD, but it keeps loading with the message "Searching for OSD device". I also tried to plug the usb cable in the different ports of my pc, and using other usb cables, but nothing worked. Could this mean that my flight controller is broken? I can't remember exactly what hapenned to it a year ago.

YES! Thank you so much. I got into betaflight, step 1 done!

So I think the next problem is the connection between the receiver and my controller. A year ago I bought the x6b receiver, but I couldn't get it to work. This didn't work so I decided to try the receiver I got with my transmitter. There was one problem, the cable from my drone to the transmitter was one with a white thingie at the end, and for the FS-IA6b it had to be a black thingie (I hope you know what I mean, I don't know any other way to describe it :) ). So I cut the wire and used the things you can see in the photo to connect it to the wire with the black thingie. But I think this might no work like that.
On my transmitter, I can bind it to the receiver. But in betaflight I don't see anything when I move the throttle.

The things on the ends are connectors, but there are a number of different ones used in this hobby. The ones ones you had were probably a Servo Connector and the other was some type of JST. We would need a picture of your connections to possibly guess if it will work, but if no activity on the sticks in BF then something is definitely wrong.

So the problem is, I don't know how I should connect my x6b receiver to the flight controller (Omnibus F4 V3). I tried some things, and I could get it to bind. But on BF I saw nothing when I moved the sticks on the transmitter.
I'll send some photos with this message of the flight board and the receiver.

I don't know a lot about Flysky stuff, and you will probably need to find the cable and connector for your RX to splice the correct wires into the RX since it doesn't look like it has solder pads and only has the connector. Also the white wire for your RX signal is in the wrong place on the FC for Flysky.

The white wire on the FC for your receiver is connected to SBUS, it will need to be connected to RX1 probably instead. The SBUS pad is inverted for Frsky but Flysky is un-inverted so that one won't work.

YES!!!! I got it to work using this video:
. Now I can see the bars moving in the receiver tab when I use the throttle! But there is still one thing I don't understand. Now the drone and the controller are completely bound. But when I connect my drone to the battery, and use the throttle, the motors are not spinning. (the drone isn't connected to my pc). It's probably something I forgot, but I don't know. Do you know the problem?

You need to set up an arm switch in the modes tab in Betaflight. Best to take a look through this checklist, the arm switch is on there.

Thank you for the checklist! So I set up a arm switch and made sure my drone could arm. Then I went to the motor tab on betaflight, but I couldn't get the motors to spin. I made sure the I checked the "I understand the risks" button. In the top of screen, it said: Runaway Takeoff Prevention temporarily Disabled . But when I moved the sliders, the motors weren't spinning. Do you guys have any idea what could be the issue?

Do you have a battery plugged in?

If you plug in the battery and you can't get the motors up in betaflight then we have to check the ESC protocol.
You should also download this program to interface with your ESCs

Yeah the battery was plugged in.
Thanks for the help. I will look into this tomorrow, cause it is almost 1 AM here.

So I downloaded this program, and opened it. Now I'm getting this screen: 1587471991293.png

I clicked read setup but that's not doing anything.

Now, (props still off) when you plug in a battery you should get three short chimes and two long chimes.
If you then plug it in to the USB and open BLheli it should be able to read setup

You might have RPM filtering on, you should turn that off for now too
