Reconnecting after battery change? But not always?

Been flying indoors for the past week. Fly more! Sometimes, I change out the battery everything stays connected. And other times, I have to reconnect the controller! Anyone else going through this and what did you do to correct it?

That will happen if the controller is on firmware from before the Avata was released, yes. Update it.
