Update: After more searching I found that I needed to switch protocol from sport to fport within the radio settings. I seem to be getting stick response now, although my quad is spinning in circles on here, I assume some calibration needs to be done.

Is the FLEX version of the r9 firmware needed? I've got 1.3 firmware on both trans and rec And I assume I use the S.port/f.port on my mini to a tx pad on FC? Still getting nothing.

I've got my R9M bound to my R9 Mini. Both transmitter and receiver have latest access firmware. I had s.port of receiver wired to TX1 pad of FC and got no transmitter control showing up in betaflight. I've also tried using sbus through the RX1 pad and still nothing. Can anyone help in setting...

Hmm. Do you know of any frsky receivers that would work with my XJT module that uses ACCST. I would just buy something like the X4R I've got on my old quad but I can't find anything like it.

Do you know the process to pair the R9 mini to the R9M with the 9X. Looking it up it seems you put the radio in bind mode on something like a taranis which I don't think the basic 9X has. Would I have the option if I updated the 9X firmware to OpenTX?
