gimble mount visible when looking down

What's the point of being able to tilt the gimble down if all you see is the gimble mount?
I'm in Madeira and trying to take to interesting vids of cliffs here but when I try and look down too far the shot gets ruined.
Any thoughts?

Tha Avata's made for the FPV experience first, the priority isn't in the shooting style you'd do with a Mavic.
