Hey folks; been faffing around with 5" quads for a years now,; though haven't really allowed myself to immerse or understand the hobby.
I have all the gear, tools, layers of parts, radio(s) and goggle(s), though just recently a) bought a pre built off an amazing builder, and b) currently building Rotor Riots CL1 - so I can understand the basics of building a lot better.

Stay tuned for some pretty **** noob questions

I live in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney Australia - and though pilots here are fairly rare, they certainly exist!

Finding anywhere to fly here is impossible.

Welcome to the crew, another quad crasher from over in the west although I lived in Blackheath for a while and used to ride my pile of junk motorbike to work in Lawson when I was a kid.
You could try launching from the car park at the Three Sisters and see how you go....
Like yourself, not many quad folk down my way but you do learn how to cheer for self when you get it right and sulk in private when it goes south. That’s why they invented beer.
