just started this Hobby and I'm having an Issue connecting Tx16s to liftoff or drl sim on mac.

I've tried different cable connections and everything I've done tons of research but can't find anything on why my mac isn't reading the radio on a sim. plug it in and it gives me the option to choose joystick or usb storage but neither does anything. My max itself reads that a usb device is connected but not the sim. I have a MacBook air with M1 chip and the tx16s radio. If anyone has went through this issue I'd appreciate the help. And feedback is great.
