Original Smart Controller with V1 FPV Goggles via USB C

Is anyone here able to consistently get the V1 FPV Goggles to work consistently with the Smart Controller running the FPV app (connected via USB-C)?
I can only get the FPV app on the Smart Controller to show the feed maybe 1 out of 10 times of power cycling all the components.
