Recommended DJI controls for Avata MANUAL

Hello, I am a new FPV pilot and bought the Avata as training wheels until I begin to upgrade and build my own stuff. I am looking for the more recommended controls for manual flight. Currently I have the left stick vertical set to throttle and the left stick horizontal set to rotate the drone. The right stick of course, have the tilt axis and yaw, Sorry if lingo is not right.... Is there a better all around control preference i should stick with as i progress in skill (eventually) and upgrade to custom stuff.

I’d learn the motion controller! I started using it first thing when I bought my Avata it took awhile and now it like I’m in the cockpit flying.

I'd like to see a button for reverse on the motion controller . That would make it perfect .

Or maybe a menu button with a scroll toggle like on the Mavic controller . And give it say a 3 second delay to bring up the screen.
