In the Rotor Riot video posted by @msinger, starting around 2:50 it seems the narrator, holding a smartphone connected to the new goggles via USB-C, turns on head tracking from the phone.

Could someone check and see if there are some settings or controls available from an attached phone? I doubt it, we don't actually see him tapping on the phone, and I suspect he was using the touch pad on the goggles his friend was wearing while looking at the phone, mirroring the display inside the goggles.

However, if the phone is active, this is another helpful feature for letting a noob friend give the Avata a try.

When you tap the screen in the app with the goggles connected it pops up a message telling you to use the touchpad
