What the average range on an average race drone???

Hi Bronco,
That question is simple enough, however the answer has many parts.

What receiver is used (quality)
What radio is used.
What The terrain is (flat ,open)or(full of trees and obstacles)
Quality of components used on the bird.
Whether you have a high gain receiver on your goggles or not
And yes ,even the weather can affect range.

Conclusion(generally) if your position is in the middle of the flying field.

300ft to the left of you 300ft to the right 150 up

Peace and progress.

Should have a good bit more range than 300', other than that, Keith answered your question well. My "park" receivers are good for 300' at least and they're not near full range. As Keith said, it depends a lot on your receiver, transmitter and obstacles in the path of the signal. In general a kilometer is a decent fix on Range although more than a kilometer is common.

The range on my $140 Radiolink AT9S is rated at 1.5km with good conditions and direct LOS. I fly about 300yds from mine all the time no problem, the video becomes an issue for me before the radio does because of all the Wi-Fi near me.

word thanks guys. so if one has the ability to go about 3200 feet is that good and will the video keep right through my goggles
with good antennas and goggles
