I had trouble as well, updated everything (Drone, Goggles and RC Controller). Finally I went into the DFI Fly App and noticed I needed an updagte on that. After the update everythng linked up! Might not be your issue but just in case.....

I ordered the DJI Avata last Friday direct from DJI website after receiving an email that the drone was now in stock. I am still waiting for the drone to be shipped, just ordered the drone alone. Anyone else waiting? Wondering how long it will take to be shipped?

I've had 2 fly aways. The drone video from the goggles showing the last few seconds of flight can be helpful, but the GPS coordinates shown on the DJI Fly App after connecting the goggles to the phone are a far better way of finding your lost drone.
