Avata suddenly drops out of sky

V2 goggles telemetry freezes when SD card in them is full, with the FPV. Goggles have to reboot to cure this. With the Avata, it seems that when the drone's onboard memory is full, it freezes the electronics for a second or so in a similar fashion, but this time on the drone as well. My v2 warned that the drone memory was full, and immediately thereafter, goggles lost picture for a second, then recovered, and drone lost power and crashed. Motors continued to spin and camera and ESC still worked. Probably could have recovered if I had not been at around 5 metres.

If Mr Crow ( OP) could advise on the state of his Avatas onboard memory at the time of the crash, this would prove or disprove this theory.

First I've heard of this.

The fault is a software problem. Happens at a very specific time i.e. Predictable. DJI knows about it, but as usual, not profitable to remedy.
As stated in post #11 this incident was almost certainly caused by a prop failure.
