could you build a diatone h550 with a controllable claw via servos or a extendable stick to retrieve racing quads stuck in tress or on building? Could it also create enough lift to be a small cargo drone?

Usually the end result is 2 stuck drones when people take this approach. It could work sometimes but when I have seen people stuck in trees it is usually not possible for another quad to reach them. If the concept works I think it would be more successful pulling a crashed quad off the top of a building. Again assuming you don't just end up with 2 quads on the roof.

i agree with mr J, altho i have considered building a "heavy lift" drone. a drone with a dangling claw isnt something i would recomend flying around lots of snags.

I am thinking about a heavy lift drone, so maybey it isn't a good idea to attach a stick but it would be cool to have one. (SUPER bored project)
