I think the 7 doesn't do Reelsteady if that's important to you

ah, good to know. Awhile back that was a problem we were having

generally 6 is the go to model for fpv even now, the 7 needs to be softmounted for good results and it's a PITA and the 8 is even heavier (like each subsequent iteration), not to mention the 9. having said that, if your quad can carry the 8, it is definitely a great camera and I use the footage straight off the sd card no problem, no reel steady needed.

I have been using both. For freestyle I will use the 7 as it's lighter and I really don't need much out of the camera other than capturing 4k or 2k video (what ever your preference is). For the 8 I use it to do scenery videos.. where you want the smooth look.. skipping the step of running it through ReelSteady. Just my 2 cents
