I am still fairly new to fpv. I have a mobula8 with avatar. After some crashes recently I tried to fly it and as soon as I would take off it skyrockets straight up. I tried changing the propellers and the frame and still the same problem. Today I just changed out the aio flight board thinking maybe it had a gryo out or something. Took it out flying today and ran pack through it just fine. I stayed in angle mode just for the test flight. Next pack it is back to full throttle after takeoff. I tried acro and angle mode, same problem. Any ides?

I might try calibrating the gimbals on my radio. Doesn't quite sound like a problem with the Mobula8

BTW may I ask where you got the new flight controller. I've not been able to find one.

Thanks

I ordered it off aliexpress. Took a couple weeks but no problems with the seller or shipping. I don't think it's the radio because I am currently out flying my Rate L40 and it doesn't have any problems, other than the pilot.

I wonder if one of the motors is out of whack. How would one check those?

I'm also considering just getting a new beta pavo II and moving the vtx over.

Thanks I'll try aliexpress.

I check motors with the BetaFlight configurator Motors tab by running each of them up one at a time. I wouldn't suspect just one motor because if they weren't all four throttling up at the same time, the quad would flip over rather that fly up.
I have also reflashed beta flight and the factory cli to make sure it wasn't something I changed.

I'm stuck at this point and kinda wish I hadn't ordered the new board.

Hi ! I'm also new to fpv.
I got the exact same problem with the same Mobula8 (2S - ELRS3).
The gimballs look fine on betaflight.

I'm investigating on the mods (acro, horizon, angle). Maybe the 2S battery is to much power.

Have you found any solution ?
