Seems strange that the'd jump into the racing space when they are facing real competition for their other product lines from every direction. I think the did well with the mavic release but it'll clearly come at the expense of phantom.

Well I was hoping the mavic would be a racer when I first heard about it and see they need to get involved in racing stuff
but I just don't see anyone coming close to competing with them .
Course I am very partial to them
I will have one of those Mavic's .

Looks like you can buy them now . Buy Snail Racing Propulsion System | DJI Store and yes it's just components .

I'm probably going to get flamed here but I think it looks very promising. As far as I'm concerned no one can touch DJI for Camara platforms yet and if they can transfer some of that tech and experience into the racing sector it would be a good thing. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they come up with. And yes. I do hope they give us a flight controller that has the ability to return to home, I'm kinda tired of walking to pick up my stupid quad when it decides to fall out of the sky far from me. Never had to walk once to find my p4 lol and only had to climb on a school roof once to retrieve my f550 . I say, bring it on DJI!!!
