I understand that to fly FPV in Australia you need to get a permit from CASA.

Has anyone gone through this process? Is it as simple as lodging the form and paying the fee. What is the fee? If i'm a beginner will they require me to prove my abilities?

Do people just fly their FPV outdoors as long as it isn't in a densely packed area and ignore this requirement as it isn't well enforced?

Please let me know your experiences with FPV outdoors in Australia. All responses are appreciated!

Yeah nah you need to have a REPL licence etc and then apply.

And I believe you need to apply each time you intend to fly FPV, lol.
