Hi Pilots, As you know, both the Neo and Neo2 are compatible with the RC2 and RC-N3 and the Goggles 3 for FPV.
Consequently, the Avata 2 should also be compatible with the RC2 and RC-N3 to fly without the goggles just like the Neo can.
Moreover, if the googles fail, either be physical damage, a sudden defective unit or even a loss or theft, you're Avata 2 is grounded without a back-up solution.
Furthermore, sometimes you just want to fly without the goggles.
That's got to be an easy fix for DJI to mod the firmware to have the ability to pair the RC 2 or RC-N3 with the Avata 2 without the use of the goggles.
