I have a budget quad with 5-inch propellers that I built to start learning how to race FPV quads, but my current FPV setup is terrible, the video cuts out completely when I fly 15 feet away or even closer when I fly behind myself (And I am just in a grass field). my googles are the Eachine 006 which supposedly has diversity. and have a cheap 18$ indoor FPV cam with built-in 4-leaf clover antenna. I want to upgrade my setup but I don't know if the problem is with my VTX alone or if I need better FPV goggles. I am on a budget so hopefully, I can just upgrade to a better cam and VTX, there is one that looks pretty good on Amazon for 35$ that I am thinking about getting if it solves my problem (Amazon link below)
But I don't know enough about this to know if it will fix my problem, I don't know if my goggles are too cheap for what I want them to do or if there is something else I am missing. I just want good enough range to learn to race FPV and do some freestyling. I would appreciate any advice.
