Sorry about this. It isn't supposed to be doing that based on the settings but google is taking a bit more liberty these days. I'll turn off that bottom ad.

The ads really have gotten out of hand lately. Try reporting it to the mods if you haven't—they usually get complaints like that escalated pretty fast.

Thanks for the feedback. Are you saying that there are more ads or that they are lower quality? We haven't added any new ad placements in years. The ad quality has declined along with site traffic due to AI search answering questions directly vs. sending users our way. Unfortunately, this trend doesn't bode well for the future of old forums like these.
