DJI Compatible Receivers

Hello drone builders,

I am about to start building my own drone for racing and have a spare DJI Phantom3 RC that I was hoping to use. However, I have been struggling to find a DJI receiver at a reasonable price (don't fancy paying $300 for a P3 main board).

Can anyone advise/recommend a DJI (or compatible) receiver module or would I be best to purchase another Tx/Rx combo?

I would just suggest you pop for a new transceiver that will last you long term. The Taranis Plus is best dollar to value ratio Transceiver there is right now. You can spend more, but the value is better in the Tarantis. You also could spend less, but eventually you will want a better RC.

I know this doesn't really help with the Phantom RC, but it sounds cheaper, and long term will be best option for you.

From what I can see online, DJI are not keen to encourage self builds . Cheers for the Taranis RC tip . . . the X9D Plus (with X8R receiver) looks pretty good deal.
