Rc plane to drone transition

hey guys....
Just wanted some opinions out there.....i have flown model airplanes most my life....would you say flying an fpv racing style drone would have similar joystick commands? For example flying an airplane into a hard right turn would involve right aileron to bank then full back eleveator to make the turn followed by left ailleron to straighten out...
Is it the same with drones?

Yeah, pretty similar once you get some forward momentum.

Hmm, I think I use yaw more than elevator during the turn now that I think about it. But I am sure elevator could be used for a really hard turn.
