so far for my first build I have all the guts out of my current build and everything unplugged that needed to be and labeled. I’m going to be doing the wire motor completely new and do alittle extra work. Strip te old wires from the copper leads going to the windings. Gonna run while new wire for each motor. Gotta do that then unsolder and re solder them to the pdb. New frames ready to go except the fabricated metal piece I made for my camera so I can run a strap from front to back cuz my traditional style go pro won’t work just from side strap

a pump works great for clearing "through holes" and bulk solder.

a wick is also good for detailed cleanup but i found wicking the hardest to get right.. er .. still can't get the hang of wicking but the pump works great.

Be careful rewiring those motors. The copper wire that looks bare has a special enamel coating for motor winding. It is best to splice an inch or so away if you can and don't apply heat for very long. I bet one could easily fry four motors and 2 4-in-1 ESC's that way. Don't ask me how I know! xD

Hahaha thanks guy. Yep same pump I have and yeah I’m trying to be careful Go to general discussion and help memoir if you could please about my motor wire the silicone stranded stuff. I just decided to extend rather than re wire. One f the tiny little strands got cut off while stripping the wire.

Used a few rolls of de-soldering braid, old school...lol. I use a radioshack de-soldering iron with the squeeze bubble, love it
