bulky budget racer advice

Im taking my old iris motors and ESC 4in1 and looking to Frankenstein something together before my first RTF arrives and I smash that... I have some extra 3s batteries too so, why not build something and learn a few tricks.. Just looking for some advice on what flight controller and frame to mate it with...?

I would probably pair that with a QAV-X or Skitzo personally. I like SP Racing flight controllers, but anything with an F3 that runs betaflight should do nicely.
