I was thinking it would be sweet to get a tiny woop or similar for indoor use. My question is do any indoor drones have easy flying mode like my Mavic Pro? Something that will fly level and maybe even stay a certain distance off the floor? I've been playing with the free DRL simulator and making some progress but **** is it hard and I'd rather just have something easy. Those little drones look very difficult. I just want to be able to cruz around the house and not be crashing al the time.

What you described is a tinywhoop, they are great and can be flown in stability mode and acro. Acro is actually easier to control once you get the feel for it.
Btw, it doesnt have altitude hold but is easy to hover
