I guess if there is going to be carnage, you'd like to get the video, in the big scheme its pretty unimportant, but for bragging rights I get it.my Only regret is that watching the replays this evening.. you can't see the smoke in the vid.
It probably had nothing to do with you not disarming in time per se, but in fact would have blown sooner rather than later anyway. I think you run the risk with any make or model, they make them relatively inexpensive with high failure rates, so with any purchase you could get a poor, good, or even great and ALMOST bulletproof one. But don't forget, we beat the living snot out of them, the joints get stressed, the PCB bends and flexes, and they get power surges every time we power them up. Did you ever notice that an incandescent light bulb usually blows right when you turn it on?
