Hi,
I am new to this hobby, i am facing vtx range issue that took me weeks with no luck,
When i arm the quad the video is so clear and has no noise or distortion at all, but when i fly at about 50m~ open range i start losing signal very quickly, it gets much lower 15m~ when there are obstacles such as trees or buildings, i saw videos of other people using the same setup with video ranges above 1000m, i don't know what i am doing wrong at this point.
Here is everything i tried:
1- Disabling Pit mode.
2- setting vtx power to max (400mw).
3- moving power cables away from the vtx transmitter antenna.
4- buying new matching antennas for both the transmitter and reciever (this helped improving the range a tiny bit but the problem is still there).
5- Frequencies are perfectly matched.
6- vtx ground wire soldered directly to the battery.
7- Tried so many different antenna configurations.
8- Pretty sure Vtx settings in betaflight are correct.
Unfortunately all of this didn't solve the problem,
Here is my FPV drone setup:
Frame: TBS Source one V5
Motors: Velox 2207 V3 1750kV
ESC and Flight Controller: SpeedyBee F405 V3
Camera: Foxeer Razer mini
VTX transmitter: Happymodel OVX300
Goggles: Eachine EV800DM
Transmitter: FlySky FS-A8S
Reciever: FlySky FS-I6X
VTX and goggles antennas: RushFPV Cherry2 LHCP
Is there a chance that the VTX transmitter itself is malfunctioning?
Any help would be appreciated.
