I saw a couple vids on YT and its not hard...i really need to trust my equipment. I know you guys understand that.
If i get in there and its to confusing or the vids don't represent what i see ill close the thing up and rest. Been doing drone stuff since the 11:45...

before i changed to the revolt fc, i used "park flier" type dsm cppm recievers, theyre not full range and i never flew one out of range

I could not make it work... my db's jumped ten points...no response from the bird...i tryed ...it didn't work out. Great idea though.

Did you solder the shield to the ground pad, and the inside wire to the signal pad?

No i did not know that the shield wire was involved...
Which one is the ground do you think?

The larger pad is toward the inside of the board...the small pad is near the edge...any help?

It looks like both are ground pads. Split the braided shield into two halves, twisting them into basically what is one "wire" on each side. Solder one to each pad.

Or you can try to cut the shield clean, and solder a bridge from the shielding to one or both pads.

In your original solution..and which one is the raw coax. Or does that get split as well>?

There are two conductors in a coax wire: the inner conductor and the shielding. The inner conductor is typically solid copper.

Split the coax and the braided shield twist each pair together and solder 1 twisted wire to each pad?

Here is one I did recently. It was a tiny one though with a collar on the shield.
