Does anyone use these DJI Lycra Goggle Foam - Choose Your Color
Just got this in and before I even attempt to use them I’d like to know if they do
keep the light out. Watch several YouTube videos and some liked them some not.
Any opinions from users ?
TIA

It depends on your head shape, it's OK for me but my friend doesn't like it.

You pretty much need to remove a bunch of foam from the nose area, unusable otherwise.

So you do remove the existing pad, how does it stick on and if
you remove the OEM one can it go back on. I havn’t even tryed to remove it.

Yes it's just attached with velcro, just be careful as the headset side velcro tends to come with it, need to "peel" while holding it a bit.

Just waiting for your report now.
Might be a little latter but will post back how I do.
Seems between these forums and wife’s honeydos my
time is limited. I try to do any drone work after all have went to bed
so I can concentrate. ?

Well had a second and changed them out. Wasn’t near what i
thought it would be. I wear reading glasses and with them on
i still had some light leakage so tryed them off and after a little tweaking I lost that. Took a quick flight and was fine. Wish they
had a little more foam for comfort but will keep at it till I get them
where I really like the fit. Do know now though now these straps gotta go. Think I will order some 2” without the over my forehead
strap.
Thanks for the tips @Kilrah ?

I have used that one and a couple others, my preference is the DJI Sponge Foam Replacement it is the most comfortable that I've found. Make sure to get the Sponge Foam version they offer though not the standard one that comes with the goggles, that one is way too stiff for me.

Been wanting to try the DJI one but never been able to find it in stock yet...

Ive got the DJI foam, and think its very comfortable and definitely an improvement over stock.

the only think I don't like about it, is it just has a very small strip for the nose , as you can see in @Aerial-Pixel picture. it's not really bad, but just feels a bit 'incomplete' - it just sticks on with tape, so you can't keep moving it around. that said, there isnt much space in the nose area, so perhaps thats why they took this approach.

one thing that will be interesting to see in summer with in hot weather, if its a bit too much...

overall, took a little while to get used to it, but Im really happy with the change.

So whats wrong with the stock foam? Seems fine to me but I have nothing else to compare it to.

Ok, I have not noticed that so maybe I just have the correct size head.. :p
@Kilrah has some unique problems with FPV goggles, hats, hoodies, etc.

You can see why he doesn't like the head strap.

I've finally managed to source the DJI "improved" foam and that one's great, good sealing everywhere and no issues with the nose. It's a tad hard comfort-wise though.
