I got my Avata 2 at the weekend and went out for first flights.
I've had Mavics in the past so the fly app
and certain things I'm used to but this is my first FPV.
On the first flight I instigated RTH and all went well at first, it started to rise to my set attitude then all of a sudden it flew off
I managed to cancel RTH and flew it back manually. When I used it again it didn't fly off but landed no where near the Home point.
I've also got this message which I can't get rid of in the Status Menu:

Failed to load Dynamic Safely Data. Geo
Awareness Function Degraded.
Update Flysafe Data Base.

I did all the updates when I first set it up.
Is the RTH issue and the message in the status menu related.

Sounds like you took off before the home point was recorded. The other error is just about the geo database being outdated/unavailable, connect a phone with the app to the goggles with everything powered on.
