Hello! I feel silly for being here as I know NOTHING about fpv quads, but I really need some help. I'm looking to buy a racer for my husband, but I'm not sure what I should get. I'm looking at this used one on Ebay, but I have no clue if it's a good deal or not. He is a beginner so I'd like something semi easy to operate, but not complete newb status, as he tends to master things like this very quickly. This is the one I'm looking at one Ebay. Is this a decent brand? I'm assuming this is a custom built quad but not sure. I want good quality, sturdy build, nice speed, easily customizable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to not go over $400. Thanks!

Hi,

The first ebay listing doesn't really say what parts it has, so it is hard to say if it is a good deal. Most people like to use video goggles rather than a screen though. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LX0140X

Do you need it to arrive before Christmas? It might be better to give him a picture of the stuff you order and have it come in later. That way he would get better stuff. Most good deals come from Chinese websites and take a while to arrive. If you want to go this route, I can suggest some stuff.

Otherwise your best bet is something like that Arris from Amazon that Jerry mentioned. This would be a better option than the ebay one I think.

Edit; the one Jerry showed is better than the one I had pasted at the end of my message. Better parts and includes battery and charger. I would go with his link.

Green,

I looked over the reviews on those newer goggles and they weren't very good. I was actually considering getting a pair.

Hello, my advice is make sure you purchase something that He can order parts immediately some drone parts from out of State are not available right away and will take up to two weeks to come. I ordered from Heli Pal although the drone was cheap in price but you can not speak to a tech only by email. Also I would start with something not so fast and then move up to racing quads as they can be dangerous to someone new to the hobby. Just making an observation.
